📜 What is Offences and Penalties?
Chapter XII prescribes offences and penalties for contraventions of the Code on Social Security, 2020. It covers failure to pay contributions, repeat offences with enhanced punishment, offences by companies, cognizance and prosecution procedures, opportunity of hearing before prosecution and composition (compounding) of specified offences to promote graded and proportionate enforcement.
अध्याय XII सामाजिक सुरक्षा संहिता, 2020 के उल्लंघनों के लिए अपराधों और दंडों को निर्धारित करता है। इसमें योगदान का भुगतान न करना, पुनरावृत्त (repeat) अपराधों के लिए कड़ी सजा, कंपनियों द्वारा किए गए अपराधों की जिम्मेदारी, वादों की संज्ञान और अभियोजन से जुड़ी प्रक्रिया, अभियोजन से पहले सुनवाई का अवसर तथा कुछ अपराधों के कम्पाउंडिंग (समापन) की व्यवस्था शामिल है, ताकि प्रवर्तन संतुलित और अनुपातिक रहे।
