Nothing is an offence which is done by any person who is justified by law, or who by reason of a mistake of fact and not by reason of a mistake of law in good faith believes himself to be justified by law, in doing it. This covers acts done under legal justification or honest belief thereof.
कोई भी कार्य अपराध नहीं है जो किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति द्वारा किया जाता है जो कानून द्वारा न्यायसंगत है, या जो तथ्य की भूल के कारण (न कि कानून की भूल के कारण) सद्भावना से स्वयं को कानूनी रूप से न्यायसंगत मानता है। यह कानूनी औचित्य या उसकी ईमानदार मान्यता के तहत किए गए कार्यों को कवर करता है।
