Nothing is an offence by reason that it causes, or that it is intended to cause, or that it is known to be likely to cause, any harm, if that act is done without any criminal intention to cause harm, and is done in good faith for the purpose of preventing or avoiding other harm to person or property. This covers acts done in prevention of greater harm.
कोई भी कार्य इस कारण से अपराध नहीं है कि वह कोई हानि कारित करता है, या कारित करने का इरादा रखता है, या जिसके बारे में यह ज्ञात है कि वह हानि कारित कर सकता है, यदि वह कार्य बिना किसी आपराधिक इरादे के व्यक्ति या संपत्ति को अन्य हानि से बचाने या रोकने के सद्भावनापूर्ण उद्देश्य से किया जाता है। यह बड़ी हानि की रोकथाम में किए गए कार्यों को कवर करता है।
